New Australian production facility
As part of Medline’s international expansion, a new production facility was built in Marsden Park, New South Wales. To ensure the continued production of high quality, hygienic products, Medline needed a compressed air solution in the new facility that would meet the high standards for which the company was known.
As long-term partners, Medline enlisted the help of the team at Pilot Air to install a new compressed air distribution system throughout the expansive new facility and to relocate the existing Pilot Air oil-free compressed air system to the new location.

Ongoing support
As part of the ongoing maintenance support provided by Pilot Air, it was identified that to retain the fully redundant compressed air supply, a new oil-free compressor would be required to replace a unit nearing the end of its life span.
The new system needed to provide a clean, dry and totally oil-free compressed air supply for Medline’s semi-sterile and sterile production facilities. Medline chose the Pilot Air Silent OFP Series as it produces 100% pure, oil-free air that meets ISO 8573-1:2010 Part 1 for oil content.

More than clean air
Not only does the system produce air free of impurities, but the super silenced cabinet design, with acoustic foam-lined panels, ensures quiet operation. The oil-less pump design features one piece sealed bearing conrods, special PTFE compression rings, heat insulated piston pin bushings and specially anodised cylinder coatings to ensure durability, efficiency and long service life.
Because of the high capacity production of Medline’s products, the new system’s high efficiency cooling system and integral aftercooler were perfect for such heavy-duty use. But not only is the system reliable and durable, it also offers easy, cost-effective maintenance and minimised energy costs due to its energy efficient MEPS approved electric motors.

This new unit is now installed and commissioned and will be part of the Medline production process for many years to come.
