Productivity and reliability are the key to running a successful smash repair business. When Impact Smash Repairs’ previous compressor suffered electrical malfunctions, a neighbouring business recommended they contact Pilot Air.
In April 2017, Impact Smash Repairs invested in a Pilot Air compressor, and since installing the new compressor, they’ve seen a drastic improvement in the volume of air and a decrease in condensate when emptying the receiver.
Karen Milbourne at Impact Smash Repairs commented, “Productivity is of great importance to our business, and our new Pilot Air compressor has met our expectation by increasing the air volume and continuity of air flow required for our business.”
Impact Smash Repairs relies on compressed air to power all of its air tools, both for the panel and paint shop and for air flow for its spray-painting booth. For seven years, Impact has been a Spies Hecker Waterborne paint shop.

For the past four years, Impact Smash Repairs has achieved environmental accreditation by the Motor Trade Association’s Green Stamp. When choosing a new compressed air system, Pilot Air took the requirements of Green Stamp Accreditation into consideration.
According to Karen Milbourne, “Impact Smash Repairs recommend Pilot Air for the following reasons: it’s priced right, parts are readily available, and Pilot Air compressors are reliable and easy to use.
The compressor provides consistent air volume at any time during the day. The compressor is very quiet. It fits into our environmental green stamp policy by reducing noise pollution.”
