Comes complete with Automatic Condensate Drain.

The protected filter head and bowl threads of the Pilot Compressed Air Filtration Series allows for easy bowl removal for element replacement. The large cross section of flow channels ensures reduced pressure drop, while the pressure relief device allows for safe removal of the filter bowl. Additional features include a hexagonal filter bowl clamp ring and anodised aluminium filter bodies (inside and out) to prevent corrosion. External surfaces are powder coated, plus modular facility for simple series connection of multiple filters or wall mounting.

    Filter element features include:

    • Large surface area and in-depth bed filtration for high efficiency and low pressure drop.
    • Double (inner and outer) polyester needle felt sock suitable for high temperatures (120 ̊C) and resistant to synthetic oils.
    • Push on element with double O-ring for speedy element replacement and air tight connection.
    • Four grades of filtration to cover all requirements for clean compressed air in respect of ISO 8573.1.
    • Silicone-free manufacturing.
    • Colour coded. No mistakes when replacing elements.

    Frequently asked questions

What does “Built for Australian conditions” mean for the 3-Micron Industrial Air Filter?

The Pilot 3-Micron Industrial Air Filter Series P is built for Australia’s harsh environments, featuring powder-coated external surfaces, anodised aluminium inside and out for corrosion resistance, and filter elements that can withstand temperatures up to 120 °C — making it a trusted choice for Sydney workshops and industrial sites.

What filtration performance and flow rates are available?

The 3-Micron Filter Series P removes solid particles and emulsions down to 3 microns, with models offering flow rates from 14 L/sec (≈ 30 SCFM) up to 700+ L/sec (≈ 1,480 SCFM) depending on the selected unit size and connection type.

What safety and usability features does the 3-Micron Filter provide?

The Pilot 3-Micron Filter is designed with protected head and bowl threads for safe removal, a built-in pressure relief device for maintenance, automatic condensate drainage, and colour-coded elements to ensure easy identification and safe operation in Sydney’s industrial environments.

What is included when I purchase the 3-Micron Industrial Air Filter?

Each Series P filter includes a robust filter body, the correct cartridge element, an automatic condensate drain, and BSP connection options — making it ready to install in compressed air systems straight away.

How should I maintain the 3-Micron Filter for reliable operation?

To maintain your Pilot 3-Micron Filter, replace the filter element at recommended service intervals, regularly inspect the bowl for debris, and ensure the automatic condensate drain is functioning properly. Pilot Air provides replacement parts and Sydney-based service support for ongoing reliability.
