The protected filter head and bowl threads of the Pilot FT012 Compressed Air Filtration System allow for easy bowl removal for element replacement. The large cross section of flow channels ensures reduced pressure drop, while the pressure relief device allows for safe removal of the filter bowl. Additional features include a hexagonal filter bowl clamp ring and anodised aluminium filter bodies (inside and out) to prevent corrosion. External surfaces are powder coated, plus modular facility for simple series connection of multiple filters or wall mounting.

    Filter element features include:

    • Large surface area and in-depth bed filtration for high efficiency and low pressure drop.
    • Double (inner and outer) polyester needle felt sock suitable for high temperatures (120 ̊C) and resistant to synthetic oils.
    • Push on element with double O-ring for speedy element replacement and air tight connection.
    • Four grades of filtration to cover all requirements for clean compressed air in respect of ISO 8573.1.
    • Silicone-free manufacturing.
    • Colour coded. No mistakes when replacing elements.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What flow rate and connection sizes does the FT012 support, and is it suitable for smaller compressed air systems?

The Pilot FT012 Compressed Air Filtration System delivers 19.8 L/sec (≈ 42 SCFM) with G 1/2″ BSP-F connections, making it a great choice for smaller compressors, tool lines, or secondary filtration in workshops across Sydney and Australia.

How does the FT012 manage durability and harsh environmental factors like heat, dust, and corrosion?

The FT012 is built with anodised aluminium filter bodies inside and out, a powder-coated exterior, and protected filter head and bowl threads — ensuring resilience against heat, dust, and corrosion in Australian conditions.

What features make maintenance safer and easier for the FT012?

The FT012 includes a pressure relief device for safe bowl removal, a hexagonal clamp ring, large flow channels to minimise pressure drop, and push-on filter elements with double O-rings for simple, airtight servicing.

What filtration grades and element specifications does the FT012 use?

The FT012 supports four grades of filtration in line with ISO 8573.1, uses double-sock polyester needle felt rated to 120 °C, and comes with colour-coded elements to prevent errors during replacement.

What local support and reliability can I expect when choosing the FT012 in Sydney / NSW?

By selecting the FT012, you gain the backing of Pilot Air’s Head Office & Manufacturing facility in Silverwater, Sydney and its Service & Spares Division in Auburn, ensuring quick spare parts, maintenance, and reliable local support.
